Early Years Literacies and Digital Technologies

Encourage and support children’s early literacy learning with mobile devices

 

Facilitated by Ann Hatherly and Tara Fagan, the focus of this programme is on ways in which mobile devices such as iPads can be used to encourage and support children’s early literacy learning.

Teachers will be equipped with knowledge and strategies for developing digital resources, selecting appropriate technologies and working with young children to author their own digital stories.

What you will learn

  • How mobile devices can be used in the classroom/centre
  • How to develop and implement a digital programme for your classroom/centre
  • How to support purposeful literacy practices, relevant for children growing up in a digital world
  • How to create strategies to integrate digital technologies into the daily curriculum

Start date and length of programme
